Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Milpitas, California

Position Summary:

We are inviting qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to apply for a position in Milpitas, California. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, fostering their communication skills and supporting their academic success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Design and implement individualized therapy programs tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the educational environment.
  • Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Keep accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress.
  • Perform ongoing evaluations and screenings to monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide training and resources to school personnel and parents on speech and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current California State License in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing or the ability to obtain this credential.
  • Familiarity with various assessment tools and therapeutic interventions for speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a school setting is advantageous but not essential.
