Assistant Facility Security Officer

Key Role:

Champion security initiatives by assisting the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in shaping and evolving the security policies, regulations, and training programs. Uphold the integrity of the industrial security program through development and implementation of procedures to safeguard sensitive and classified information for both our company and government partners. Coordinate and oversee critical aspects of the industrial security program, ensuring strict adherence to company protocols and government regulations to include 32 CFR Part 117, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) sessions. Manage classified meeting procedures and document control with precision. Additionally, support employees in fulfilling reporting obligations and handle adverse reports in accordance with company policy and regulatory guidelines. Act as a backup FSO when necessary, providing security support to both cleared and uncleared personnel. Develop innovative solutions to complex security challenges. Provide security advice and recommendations to staff at all levels, ensuring compliance with security protocols. Manage security clearances records, overseeing program and administrative activities. Assist with ad hoc proposal security volume and DD254 reviews, and coordinate security support for classified contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in database functions, including Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and National Industrial Security System (NISS)
  • Experience with 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule
  • Knowledge of DD254s, self-inspections, adverse reporting requirements, clearance processing, classified meeting procedures, document control, Security Awareness and Training (SATE), and physical security protocols
  • Ability to enforce compliance requirements and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Industrial Security, or Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Completion of the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Facility Security Officer curriculum, including FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities IS030.CU

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Army Centralized Contracts and Security Portal (ACCS)
  • Experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer or Special Security Representative
  • Knowledge of COMSEC, SCIF Management practices, and SCI Nomination processes

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
