Position Overview

The Ohio State University College of Nursing invites applicants for a part-time or full-time faculty appointment for candidates with advanced practice specialization as a family nurse practitioner. We are seeking faculty committed to excellence in teaching, practice, and service. Faculty with research and/or scholarship expertise are also encouraged to apply. This is a 12-month clinical track or associated track faculty position.

Appointment and rank will be based on qualifications and experience of the candidate. Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for APRN and Masters Education, this faculty will be joining a dynamic team of FNP faculty and will be responsible for teaching didactic courses and clinical supervision in the family nurse practitioner advanced practice specialty track in the Master’s and DNP Program. The program is delivered online.

Performance Objectives

  • Effectively work with students, faculty, and preceptors
  • Deliver evidenced-based curriculum to students that meets national standards
  • Successfully participate in a team teaching environment

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: Doctorate degree in nursing; national certification as a FNP, at least two years of practice as a FNP and current Ohio advanced practice nursing license (or license eligible)

Desired: Two years of recent teaching experience in a graduate nursing program is preferred
