We are looking for anEnvironmental Health & Safety Manager to develop safety andhealth programs, policies and strategies for this newoperation. 

 

As the primary Safety& Health role at our new facility, this role will own the localS&H team with a bias towards team and individual development.Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, andlocal health and safety regulations and implementing environmentalpolicies and procedures to align with corporate directions andinitiatives.

Highlights of your role:
  • Develop, and lead site-specific Safety& Health programs and ensure adherence to enterprise policies,programs, and procedures
  • Develop and implement a strategicannual goal setting plan for eliminating injuries and accidentsthrough proactive risk identification and mitigation
  • Support enterprisesustainability goals and initiatives, promoting environmentalprograms at the local level 
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
  • Strong understanding ofgovernment and professional organizations such as OSHA, VoluntaryProtection program, NIOSH, NRC, ASSP NFPA, and the National SafetyCouncil
  • Experienceand/or proven understanding of EPA, State, Local, OSHA, and DOTregulations, programs, and policies
  • Ability to develop and maintainrelationships with employees, leadership, and regulatorypersonnel 
Also want to make sure you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field stronglypreferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience may be consideredin place of degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience in safety related role(s) withincreasing levels ofresponsibility
    • Environmental experience a plus
  • Experience in Safety and Health leadership roles ina manufacturingenvironment
  • OSHA Voluntary Protection Program experiencepreferred
  • Currently hold or willingness to obtain additionaleducation, safety certifications, and designations required.Designations include but not limitedto:
    • BCSP ASPand/or CSP
    • NSC Advanced Safety Certificate
    • OSHA 30Hour
    • OccupationalHygiene and Safety Technician Certification (OHST)
    • Train the trainerdesignations related to Safety and Health
    • Any related collegedegree
