Advertised Position Title:Student Internship - Visual Design Intern at Marketing & CommunicationsJob Description:

** This position is exclusively available to a current Visual Arts / Marketing Student at Owens Community College who is applying for an on-campus internship through the School of Liberal Arts.

The Visual Design Student Intern in the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications will provide graphic design and photography support to the Senior Graphic Designer and Photographer/Videographer. The Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications is located on the Toledo-area campus in College Hall 154.

Successful candidates will be studying Visual Communication Technology or a related program and have an interest in creative design and institutional branding. Candidates must display appropriate levels of maturity, confidentiality, professionalism, and dependability.

Essential Duties:
• Collaborate with marketing staff to create visual assets for various projects, including website, social media graphics, advertisements, and print materials
• Prepare digital files for print, web, and other media formats
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for creative concepts
• Help maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all design materials

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Light physical work: able to lift and carry 20 pounds

Minimum Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Adobe CC experience (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)
• Microsoft Office experience
• Able to pass the criminal background check

Related details for the position:
• $10.45 hourly wage, paid every other week via direct deposit
• 10-20 working hours per week, with flexibility around class schedule
