Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care to students aged Kindergarten through 21 with special needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and ensure their implementation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
  • Monitor vital signs and student health, promptly reporting any concerns.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other team members to provide holistic student support.
  • Educate students and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a healthcare or school setting is a plus.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications are preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • A passion for providing high-quality care to individuals with special needs is a must.

Schedule:

  • Dates: July 8, 2024 - August 16, 2024 (Monday-Friday)
  • Hours: 30 hours/week (Full-time)
  • Schedule: 8:15 am - 2:15 pm
