Job Description

The Patient Care Associate functions as an integral member of team of care on a patient care unit. The team provides patient care and supportive services that are directed towards patient care outcomes. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient focus care from all team members. The Patient Care Associate is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the Registered Nurse- Patient Care Coordinator. Care is provided in collaboration with the patient, family and other members of the patient focused care. Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care needs.

Minimum Education Required

HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

One year of experience as a hospital aide, EMT certification, completion a military corpsman training program with direct patient care required or successful completion of PCA training course required. Experience in acute care environment preferred.
