School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Needed near Durham, CT

Are you looking to step into your next role as a Speech Therapist?We are seeking a highly motivated and passionateSLPto join a school district near Durham, Connecticutfor the current school year. In this role you will work closely with students to improve their speech and language skills while operating as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, open to part-time applicants
  • Full School Year
  • Caseload: 4th-8th grade, details provided in interview

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on each student's individual needs and goals, keeping documentation up to date
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for each student
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops to stay informed of the latest therapy techniques and best practices

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Connecitcuit Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required
