Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Statesville, North Carolina

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Statesville, North Carolina. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills and academic success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
  • Provide therapy to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and parents on speech and language development.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • North Carolina license or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • North Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the ASHA Code of Ethics.
