Job Description:

Paso Robles, California, is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students within our diverse school community.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to address the individual communication needs of each student.
  3. Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  4. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to facilitate positive outcomes.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with state regulations and school district policies.
  7. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  8. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California.
  3. Certification from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board (SLPAB), or eligibility for certification.
  4. Certification from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  5. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  6. Strong understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services.
  7. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  8. Experience working with students in educational settings is preferred but not required.
