EssentialDuties &Responsibilities
- Developdetailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that supportorganizational objectives, effectively allocating resources andtime across groups or departments
- Fiscal andbudgetary management of housekeeping operations including creatingand maintaining departmental budgets, forecasts, and financialreports as needed; reviewing and approving purchases for thedepartment
- Manage the daily activities of theHousekeeping and Laundry department to include appropriate cleaningof all public areas as well as guestrooms.
- Provides supervision to Laundry packmembers and ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of theoperation
- Participate and collaborate oncross-functional teams in order to effectively coordinate resortactivities
- Monitor, manage and respond to guestcomments and proactively addressing guest comments with operationalresolutions
- Conduct investigative actions withguests, where necessary, for guest service and liability claims,ensure customer requests are handled in a timely and professionalmanner
- Develop, implement, and monitorschedules for the housekeeping operation and manage staffingprocess to ensure appropriate levels of resourcing to maintainefficient operations
- Manages room expeditorsoftware program (REX) in order to maintain maximum efficiency ofinventory management
- Participates in theManager-On-Duty (MOD) program and executesduties
- Recruiting, hiring, training, andevaluating team member performance againststandards
- Plan and implement staff training anddevelopment programs within thedepartment
- Monitors quality assurance programfor lodge
- Review accuracy of nightlyhousekeeping reports and investigatesdiscrepancies
- Serve on resort ExecutiveCommittee to represent the interests of the housekeepingfunction
- Enforce policies and procedures;maintain a working knowledge of general and departmental safetyprocedures. Attends safety training programs and in-serviceeducation as required
- Develops, implements, andmonitors programs that assure a safe facility and work environmentthat is in compliance with all appropriate regulations-Ergonomics,Emergency Responses, Injury and Illness Prevention, and HazardCommunications Programs
- Ensures the propermaintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/orreplacement of used and damagedequipment
- Conducts inventory of housekeepingsupplies for submission to the proper point ofcontact
- Ensures housekeeping activity andphysical areas stocked, organized and are compliant with all safetyand environmental health processes, procedures andregulations
- Oversees the safe management of theLost and Found, verifying proper record keeping and safety ofitems
RequiredQualifications &Skills
- High Schooldiploma or GED
- Experience creating andmaintaining documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint,Excel)
- Minimum of 3 years experiencesupervising/managing large housekeepingdepartment
- Minimum of 5 years hotel or resortexperience
