Job Description
Key Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Quality Engineer:
Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the aerospace industry.Conduct audits to assess adherence to quality management systems (QMS) and identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement effective quality control processes and procedures.Perform root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and monitor performance.Design and execute quality tests and inspections to validate product and process integrity.Document and analyze quality data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Participate in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions.Lead and support corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality-related concerns.Drive supplier quality management activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and facilitating supplier performance improvement.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate for the position of Manufacturing Quality Engineer:
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field - or relevant experience.Quality Experience: Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address quality issues effectively.Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, AS9100 or ISO 13485, and a track record of ensuring compliance.Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and the use of statistical tools/software to interpret and act on manufacturing data.Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards relevant to the products being manufactured.Continuous Improvement: A commitment to implementing and driving continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, to enhance manufacturing processes.Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to convey quality-related information clearly.Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, can be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to quality excellence.What's on Offer
