The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing advanced nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and critical neurological conditions.
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide patient and family education.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff and participate in staff education and training programs.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) from an accredited certifying body.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Maryland.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in acute care, preferably in neurology or critical care.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
