What you get to do:

  • Responsible for the overall safety/well-being of campers in the park, and during off-site field trips.
  • Greet and welcome campers and parents who arrive for Camp programs
  • Teach and implement assigned camp curriculum in an effective and timely manner.
  • Anticipate and willingly participate in designated camp duties: activity materials and equipment set-up and breakdown, classroom set-up and clean-up, team-building exercises, etc.
  • Provide guidance to campers keeping them on task and behaving appropriately.
  • Knowledge of camp rules / operations, getting around the park or any field trip sites.
  • Serve as a positive role model for children and other park guests by adhering to company standards on wardrobe, conduct, safety, cleanliness, and timeliness at all times.
  • Assist in maintenance and inventory of all Camp supplies and equipment.
  • Perform general scheduling, clerical duties, paperwork, and office work pertaining to the operations of Adventure Camps.
  • Participate in camper evaluations, follow-up paperwork and daily/weekly reports.
  • Become familiar with each camp's roster to prepare in advance for upcoming campers' needs.
  • Prepare materials for daily camp programming.
  • Assist with teaching classes and implementing of games and activities.
  • Assist camp management with daily operations.
  • Utilize excellent communication and guest service skills (both oral and written)
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated camp area
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and proof of insurance. Able to meet company driving guidelines
  • Ability to pass the CPR certification course.
  • Ability to maintain full availability with no scheduling restrictions during entire season.
  • One (1) year of college experience preferred.
  • At least six (6) months of prior experience working in childcare or similar fields.
  • Able to stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing and climb/ascend heights. Climb ladders up to 6' and ascend stairways and reach above shoulders.
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, bending, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing),
  • Able to lift, push and pull 25 pounds
  • Available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid, closing shifts and holidays.


Compensation: $15.00 per hour
