We are seeking a talented Android Application Engineer to join the Information Management Systems (IMS) team. This role focuses on developing and optimizing data management solutions for LTE vs. WiFi prioritization in mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience with Native Android development. You will be working on-site in Berkeley Heights, NJ, four days a week, collaborating with a skilled team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of mobile applications.

Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience with Native Android development. Proficiency in Java and Kotlin. Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities: Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
