As a Contract Specialist, you will:
Serve as a Contract Specialist for nationwide pre-award and post-award functions associated with the development of NARA-wide procurements for the acquisition of high technology or specialized scientific/equipment and services including maintenance and/or rental equipment or systems are automated and state-of-the-art and often driven by microprocessors.
Develop solicitation documents, specifying required pricing arrangements, subcontracting policies, set-aside policies, etc.
Collect and analyze contractor price or cost elements, pricing structure, marketing plans discount policies and similar data. Further, set negotiation goals for particular corporations.
Issue necessary modifications to clarify questions concerning such topics as specification changes, language ambiguities, or clarification of contract clauses.
Terminate Contracts for the convenience of the Government or default by the contractor.
