This is an OPEN AND CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT. This announcement will remain open until September 30, 2024 (or when positions filled). The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be November 9, 2023. Duties
The Assistant Nurse Manager demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise, leadership, and creative approaches to management of complex care. In addition, applies skills necessary to identify, coordinate, and/or identify discipline specific education, as well as training in leadership, professional staff development and emerging needs, to all levels of staff.
Duties includes but not limited to.
- Demonstrates working practices that include adherence to Infection Control standards, Patient Safety standards and the safe use and operation of equipment.
- Demonstrates ability to lead and direct diverse and dynamic groups of staff in the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Demonstrates leadership in the application of the nursing process patient/resident care, organizational processes and/or systems, improving outcomes at the program or service level.
- Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of subordinates.
- Evaluates the performance of subordinates.
- Makes recommendations for appointments, advancements or reassignments of subordinates.
- Giving advice, counsel, or instruction to subordinate personnel on work and administrative matters.
- Resolves complaints of subordinates and referring more serious complaints not resolved to higher level supervisors.
- Identify developmental and training needs of subordinates and providing or making provision for such development and training.
- Serves as the Nurse Manager during absence of the Nurse Manager.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
Work Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday (tour of duty subject to change based on agency needs)
