Job Description

Danfoss is currently hiring Operator I - 1st Shift in our Van Wert, OH location.  Operator I will safely and efficiently perform manual labor during the production process of Danfoss products.  Operate and troubleshoot production machinery. Perform minor repairs, as necessary. Actively support and strive to meet the strategic goals set by the facility and Danfoss Power Solutions.  

It will also require the loading and unloading of the furnace and performing detailed quality checks of completed pieces. Employees will be expected to actively support and strive to meet the strategic goals set by yourself, the facility, and Danfoss Power Solutions.  

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Must be able to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries, and overall quality.  

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, control plans, routers, job instructions and measurement tools. 

  • Must meet or exceed all quality standards set by the customers and individual Value Stream.  Must also maintain the quality standards defined for the entire facility. 

  • Maintain flexibility to move from work area to work area to meet the customer delivery expectations and the productivity goals for the plant.  Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision. 

  • Always promotes cooperation and “team oriented” work environment under the direction of the leadership.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • High School Degree or GED 

  • Ability to read blueprints and gage parts. 

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. frequently. 

  • Use scale, calipers, adjustable, direct reading, and fixed gauges to set up, operate, and check work.
