The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient leadership and operation of warehouse facilities at the Nitrogen Lima Site. The position is committed to the development and implementation of organization strategies materials management and warehouse inventory to ensure necessary parts and supplies are available for the Lima facility. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for management of warehouse and toolroom operations to direct and control materials receiving, handling, storing, issuing, delivering, and inventorying of all stocked and direct purchased materials for the facility.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Model our core value of safety by leading and enabling a culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment
  • Direct and supervise warehouse staff, the receiving, storing, picking, packing, returns, shipping activities and administrative functions of the warehouse
  • Ensure that the warehouse and all vehicles are in compliance with company and government regulatory agency requirements
  • Responsible for operating the warehouse effectively to meet annual budget targets
  • Develops strategy to improve efficiency and service levels of warehouse and service site internal customers through efficient and productive operations
  • Champions continuous improvement opportunities for materials warehouse operations
  • Provides direction and approval authority for adding/changing/deleting items to inventory including purchase/reorder of inventory items, and catalog management
  • Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received
  • Supervise receiving operation, including receipt inspection (quality inspection) of incoming goods, preparation of receiving documents and on time entry in the Oracle eAM System, transmittal of received goods information, preparation of Supplier Corrective Action Reports, and contact as required with suppliers and common carrier agents
  • Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment in a manufacturing or plant setting with 2 years in a supervisory or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of efficient warehouse layout, practices, and operations including inventory control
  • Practical knowledge and application of lean operations and continuous improvement practices within a warehouse setting
  • Practical knowledge of transportation functions including dispatch and routing
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills, including ability to work across functional areas to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders
