The Network Division Chief will lead a division committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and education.

This position will ensue the delivery of high-quality care in outpatient and inpatient services, and dialysis units across the integrated hospital system of UVMHN in Vermont and New York. The Network Division Chief will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop and implement strategic initiatives, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Network Division of Nephrology. 

The Network Division Chief will provide leadership by setting strategic goals and objectives aligned with the Department’s mission and vision. Specific duties include fostering the career development of faculty and other professionals, developing a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and excellence in patient care, and advancing the academic mission of the Division and Department across the Network.

The Network Division Chief will represent the Division in institutional committees, meetings, and conferences and will collaborate with other divisions and departments across the network to develop integrated care models. The Network Division Chief will advocate for patients, the department and furthering a reputation for excellence at local, national, and international levels. 

The Network Division Chief oversees the provision of educational and training opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows. There will be opportunities to develop continuing education programs for healthcare professionals in Nephrology. The Network Division Chief will be expected to promote new initiatives focused on expanding clinical and translational research programs in Nephrology. 

Qualifications:

MD degree (or equivalent). Board certified in Nephrology. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor (Tenure or Clinical Scholar Pathway) will be commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments.

An experienced academic and clinical leader. The ideal candidate will be a board verified in Nephrology with proven leadership experience and a commitment to clinical care, research, and education. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in Nephrology, as well as strong leadership, academic and managerial skills. The Network Division Chief will be an experienced clinician, who brings a strong track record for mentoring faculty at all stages of career development.
