Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve. A second par-3 course, Shorty's, will open in 2024. The two short courses are 'Courses with a Mission,' with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise the daily production of all food for assigned outlets. Collaborate with the Chef on inventories, pricing, and cost controls.
  • Assume full responsibility for the kitchen in the Chef's absence.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, work planning, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in menu planning and maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Control food and payroll costs for profitability.
  • Monitor equipment condition and recommend maintenance.
  • Prepare reports and perform administrative duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • 2 years of culinary experience, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
  • State-certified and Serve Safe certified.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff management and food control.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Retrieve, read, and interpret technical information.
