Job Description:
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position as Adjunct Lecturer. Adjunct instructors primarily teach General Chemistry laboratories. Other teaching assignments are possible based on applicants' expertise and interests.

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department currently has a cohesive group of 11 full-time faculty members who support approximately 50 chemistry and biochemistry majors and serve about 250 students from other departments each semester. With a training program approved by the American Chemical Society, the Department has several active research programs. Duties include but are not limited to:

Teaching General Chemistry I and General Chemistry II laboratories.
Holding office hours for students.

A master's degree in chemistry or closely related field from an accredited college or university or a bachelor's degree in chemistry or closely related field from an accredited college or university with at least three years of related industry experience (doctoral degree in chemistry, science education or closely related field also considered).
