VIKTech is seeking a fully cleared Linux System Administrator. TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Required.

Location: San Antonio,TX No remote/telework allowed

VIKTech is seeking a Cloud Linux Systems Administrator, Lead Associate to perform dynamic and operational support for cloud-based repositories. Responsibilities include working with large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters and interfacing with hardware, software, security, and network teams. The Cloud Linux Systems Administrator, Mid will be able to perform in a fast-paced mission environment where requirements change on a daily basis due to operational and world events.

Responsibilities:

  • Additional responsibilities include the following:
  • Monitor system health,
  • Troubleshoot system problems,
  • Maintain storage systems,
  • Interface with external teams for hardware, network, and infrastructure support,
  • Provide after-hours on-call/call-in support,
  • Ensure system security requirements are satisfied,
  • Participate in engineering discussions,
  • Create/maintain system scripts,
  • Patch/upgrade system,
  • Administer user accounts, and
  • Maintain hardware inventory

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience RedHat/CentOS command line
  • 5+ years of experience Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)
  • 5+ years of experience RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning (Setting it up)
  • 2+ years of experience RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Poly
  • Experience in the following:
    • Bash, Python, and configuration management tools such as Puppet.
    • Monitor systems and resolve or escalate network and data flow alerts for cloud systems hardware, software or network issues.
    • Cloud based Linux system administration for large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters environment sustaining a strong background in troubleshooting operational system issues
  • One of the following certifications are required:
    • Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Generalist
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect --- Associate
    • Red Hat Certified System Adminstrator (RHCSA)
    • CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base
    • Elastic Certified Engineer
    • Elastic Certified Observability Engineer
    • Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator --- Associate
    • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
