As a Registered Nurse, your duties involve:
- Triage, verify allergies, symptoms, and pharmacy-related issues
- Develop a patient care plan and implement nursing care accordingly
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Organize patient care and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Accurately document patient information and results in clinic standards
- Assist physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
- Review lab and diagnostic test results with patients and families
- Perform blood draws, urine dips, rapid streps, influenza, mono, CMP, CBC, cardiac inhalation treatments, start IVs, bladder catheters, injections, EKGs, dressing changes, and splinting as needed
- Handle specimens and perform lab testing with quality control and instrumentation proficiency
- Assist in ordering of reagents, lab supplies, and medical supplies
- Clean surgical instruments and package up for sterilization, and
- Audit charts daily for missing charges and diagnosis
