Responsibilities

As the Assistant Controller for Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness in Las Vegas, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the Accounting team. Your work will include financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, preparation and supervision of month end journal entries, assisting in the preparation of the annual capital and operating budgets. You will monitor and review daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash handling, inventory and ensure that deadlines are met by accounting staff. You will work on process improvements and special projects as required.

You will review monthly financial statements and statistical reporting, prepare financial summaries with department directors, and coordinate with external auditors for the completion of the annual audit.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a leadership role in accounting with direct reports preferably in the hospitality industry is required along with an excellent ability to communicate with all levels and create a positive working environment allowing professional and personal growth
