Hourly Rate: Up to ( $49.03/hr with 2-3 years of experience ) and ( $59.93hr with a minimum of 4 years of experience ).
Schedule: 9/80 work week - off every other Friday
Hybrid/Onsite: Due to the nature of the work, this role will require an on-site presence of up to 50%.
Job Summary:

- The Software Engineer II performs a variety of tasks across the areas of software requirements analysis, software design, implementation (code and unit test), documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, problem solving, and software verification testing.
- We currently have opportunities for both software developers and software testers.
- Performing tasks to develop, maintain, upgrade, and port embedded product software and/or product support software to enhance, implement and support project/system functionality for the assigned technical effort.
- Collaborating within the software project team and sometimes across the other engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Systems.
- Ensuring that the technical approach is consistent with established engineering principles and practices.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing
- Use of version control and issue tracking tools.
- For developers: Object-oriented design, C++ coding, and unit testing of embedded software.
- For testers: Requirements-based software verification and traceability.
- Integrating or testing software on bare metal or with various real-time operating systems such as VxWorks and Linux/Unix derivatives.
- Familiarity with weapon systems, munitions, and/or combat vehicle functionality and capability.
- Experience using GitLab or other CI / CD tools.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting comms, device drivers, I/O, etc. (software developers).
- Experience using NI TestStand (software testers).
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.
- Must be U.S. Citizen - "Must be able to meet ITAR requirements, including US citizenship to be considered for this role.
