  • Automation Implementation: The Cloud and Automation Engineer will be developing and implementing automation scripts and tools to streamline IT processes, such as automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of servers, applications, and services
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Using code-based tools such as AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager templates to manage and provision cloud resources in a repeatable and consistent manner
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing and deployment of applications and infrastructure changes
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implementing monitoring solutions for cloud resources and applications to ensure performance, availability, and cost efficiency; This also involves analyzing usage patterns and optimizing resources to reduce costs
  • Security Compliance: Ensuring that cloud deployments comply with organizational security policies and best practices, including managing identity and access controls, encryption, and incident response
  • Troubleshooting and Support: The Cloud and Automation Engineer will be providing technical support for cloud-related issues, troubleshooting complex problems, and working with cloud service providers when necessary
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup: Implementing and testing cloud-based disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of an incident


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering Field; Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • Cybersecurity Architect Expert certification from Microsoft
  • 8+ years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes
  • 5+ years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
