Engineering Technician V

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician V in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Air Force.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform, repair, maintenance actions on ISR systems, ISR subsystems, and equipment or components at CONUS and OCONUS (Hazard Duty) locations as required.

  • Provide system installation and initial Operator Training for ISR systems at CONUS and OCONUS locations.

  • Inspect, test, and perform necessary maintenance actions to keep systems operational to specified condition codes.

  • Perform reconditioning, sustainment and repair of retrograde materials to include: cleaning, operational testing, condition code sentencing.

  • Analyze problems, and report in a timely manner via electronic communication methods, and sustain fielded assets. Provide weekly reports and situational reports on system condition code and pertinent information while deployed in the Area of Operations (AoR).

  • Develop and report maintenance actions while sustaining, repairing, and troubleshooting. Report via internal reporting processes.

  • While deployed OCONUS or fielding CONUS, direct engagement with the Customer is always present. Professionalism and proper image is a requirement.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma and 7 years of experience

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; not needed to start

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Experience in Communications, Radios, Radars, Optics, and Tactical Data Links.

  • Must have a strong Electrical, Mechanical or Networking background.

  • Must be willing to meet a 48 hour rapid response into austere environments. Deploy to hardship locations around the globe.

  • Must have a Security+ (CSWF) certificate.

DESIRED

  • Associate's Degree in Networking, Engineering Technology, Automotive.

  • Have or willing to acquire the following CCNA, Network+, A+, (1) year of OCONUS experience and service
