Industrial Source/National Fire Fighter Corp., is a 3rd generation family-owned, customer-focused company and a recognized leader in welding/industrial supplies & fire protection services. We’re looking for our next fabulous full time delivery driver to join our Portland distribution team. Shift is 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. Daily route delivery, no overnight travel, home every night
Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Class B delivery truck to deliver compressed gas cylinders, as well as industrial/welding equipment and supplies to customer locations throughout the Portland metro area while frequently interacting with customers. This position also loads/unloads delivery trucks, assists with maintaining plant organization, and maintains accurate cylinder inventory through use of handheld scanners. Steel cylinders are heavy. Must be able to lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
Skills needed: safe driving record, pro-active communication, teamwork, customer service, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy of data. We’re looking for someone who can be flexible, agile, and willing to adjust when customers need us. If you are a motivated, enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to prioritize own workload, work independently, and exercise independent decision-making all while maintaining safety and regulatory agency standards, this job is for you.
Dependability….the ability to arrive at work on time, each day, ready to work…is critical. Class B CDL with hazmat and air brakes endorsements is preferred, as well as current medical card. Don’t have a CDL? We will train the right candidate.
