Our client is seeking a Full-Time Envitonmenatl Water Specialist to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Louisiana-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive water management program for the Plaquemines LNG facility. Oversee water treatment systems to ensure they operate efficiently and meet water quality standards. Conduct regular water quality monitoring and analysis, including sampling and laboratory testing. Manage wastewater discharge in compliance with Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permits and Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) regulations. Prepare and submit required reports on water usage, treatment, and discharge to LDEQ via the LDEQ NetDMR System. Identify and implement water conservation measures to reduce water consumption. Assist in the development and implementation of a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. Prepare and provide training to staff on water management practices, emergency procedures, and spill response. Assist in the development and implementation of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Maintain records to demonstrate compliance with all applicable water management regulations, including permit and plan requirements. Conduct inspections of all water management systems and infrastructure at the facility. Research and stay updated on federal and state water quality regulations (LPDES, NPDES, Clean Water Act). Conduct internal audits of water management activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. 5 years of experience in industrial water management or environmental compliance at an oil and gas facility. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state water quality regulations (LPDES, NPDES, Clean Water Act). Experience with water treatment systems and water quality monitoring techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in an industrial environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and environmental data management software is preferred.
