We are seeking a seasoned Sr. DevOps Architect with a robust background in DevOps methodologies and a deep understanding of Electronic Payments. With a requirement of 12 to 16 years of experience, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our deployment strategies, ensuring seamless CI/CD processes, and contributing significantly to our mission of revolutionizing payment solutions globally.


Location: Atlanta , GA (Remote)

(Cognizant will only consider applicants for this role who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)


Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes to enhance software development and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with software development and IT teams to automate and streamline our operations and processes.
- Build maintain and monitor configuration management automation and scripting tools to ensure high availability of services.
- Implement robust security measures at all stages of the CI/CD pipeline to safeguard sensitive data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev test and production environments.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in code health testing and maintainability.
- Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
- Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design through deployment operation and refinement.

Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a minimum of 12 years of experience in DevOps practices and tools.
- Strong background in Electronic Payments domain is essential.
- Proficiency in automation tools cloud services and scripting languages is required.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies is highly desirable.
- Must have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline tools and version control systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate effectively.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and strategies to ensure high system availability.
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with keen

Desired Qualifications:

- CERTIFIED KUBERNETES ADMINISTRATOR (CKA)
- AWS CERTIFIED DEVOPS ENGINEER

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 06/31/2024.
The annual salary for this position is between $120K – $174K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
