Responsibilities

  1. Work under the direction of study investigators and research staff.
  2. Conduct patient/participant recruitment for research studies, aligning with our mission of inclusivity and community engagement.
  3. Administer surveys and collect data in adherence to research protocols developed to address health disparities.
  4. Efficiently track and manage research data to contribute to evidence-based solutions.
  5. Actively engage in community outreach events, sharing our commitment to promoting health and social equity.
  6. Utilize social media platforms to amplify community awareness and participation in our research initiatives.
  7. Ensure strict compliance with research protocols and ethical standards.
  8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the collective goal of advancing health equity.
  9. Maintain confidentiality, demonstrating sensitivity to intercultural relations and diverse community contexts.
  10. Foster a positive image and uphold a professional appearance, reflecting our commitment to community respect.
  11. Assist with manuscript development, and scientific and community presentations.
  12. Travel between Winston-Salem and Charlotte, and occasionally to rural eastern NC.
  13. Other duties as assigned dependent upon interests and skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and listening skills).
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent reading comprehension.
  • Sensitivity to intercultural relations and the maintenance of confidentiality.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • US citizen or permanent resident.
