Senior Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Engineer - exposure to the definition of Maintenance Strategies and Plans, as well as troubleshooting and optimization of the following, but not limited to, Major Rotating Equipment (Gas turbines, Generators, Centrifugal and Reciprocating Gas Compressors, Air Compressors) and other Mechanical Equipment (Pumps, Manual Valves, etc.)
The Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Engineer will advise the organization in Maintenance Engineering aspects, ensuring the selection of appropriate strategies for all Mechanical and Rotating Equipment in Oil & Gas operations. Their objective is to guarantee safe and reliable delivery of Oil & Gas by defining optimal maintenance strategies, plans, and resources for Safety and Production-related equipment.
 
Define optimal maintenance strategies and plans for all Safety and Production-related Mechanical and Rotating Equipment.Ensure maximum equipment availability by defining spare parts for preventive maintenance activities and critical spares.Utilize SAP PM or other CMMS for preparing master data and managing maintenance processes.Lead or support Root Cause Failure Analysis process and preventive maintenance optimization techniques.Identify optimization opportunities to maximize safe hydrocarbon delivery and minimize production deferment.Standardize maintenance routines and frequencies to optimize costs and availability.Develop, document, and implement critical procedures and guidelines.Provide support and troubleshooting guidance for maintenance problems.Participate in technical review exercises related to Maintenance and Integrity Disciplines.Utilize data analysis for equipment condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.Key Knowledge Requirements
Strong awareness of HSE requirements in production facilities.Technical expertise in Mechanical and Rotating equipment maintenance for Oil & Gas operations.Experience in Onshore and/or Offshore Upstream assets.Knowledge of Budgeting and Cost Controlling of Maintenance activities.Ability to define technical scopes of work for maintenance services and evaluate service contracts. 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
·       Field experience in the Maintenance discipline.
·       Availability to travel to different regions within the USA and other countries.
·       Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
·       Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.
·       Familiarity with CMMS (SAP PM), Microsoft Office package, and desired software skills.
·       Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
·       5-8 years of experience in oil and gas fields in Mechanical and Rotating Equipment discipline.
·       Certifications related to Vibration, CBM, CMRP, SMRP are desired.
 
 
The candidates must be fluent in English, both spoken and written, with interviews conducted in English. Proficiency in Spanish is desirable. Regarding software skills, proficiency in CMMS (SAP PM) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with MS Project, PI Vision, and PI OsiSoft is desired.

As part of this Technical Support, the following are part of, but not limited to, the different deliverables expected according to the requirements and situations:
Technical presentationsTechnical reportsProgress reportsData mining and analysis.Development of procedures and workflowsRoot Cause Analysis reports.Others as per specific requirementsThe contract will initially be for one year, with the option for extension contingent upon performance and asset requirements, or earlier termination based on the same criteria.
Regular working hours are 8, effective, exclusive of lunch hours.  Under normal circumstances, personnel is not required to work more than the regular working hours unless specific approval is given by the Supervisor or Contract Holder.
