Job Description

Familiarity with Federal, State, and local environmental and safety regulations, with the ability to interpret and ensure compliance.Provides company-wide guidance and program support for various safety and environmental initiatives, including confined space entry, lockout/tag out, electrical safety, and hazard communication.Assists in reporting, auditing, and maintaining safety and environmental programs, including regulation interpretation and trend analysis.Conducts facility inspections/audits to detect safety, health, and environmental hazards, recommending corrective/preventative measures.Provides incident investigation support and maintains OSHA logs and TRIR metrics for facilities.Serves as emergency contact for Milford facilities and performs job hazard assessments.Tracks safety performance and communicates results to senior management, highlighting significant incident trends.Manages and develops training programs to increase employee awareness and reduce environmental impact and injuries.Reviews and approves MSDSs and oversees maintenance of MSDSOnline.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and acts as a liaison supporting safety committees.Assists with facility inspections by outside agencies and completion of environmental compliance reports.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally 5+ years of experience in EHS.Bachelor of Science in Engineering, EHS, or Industrial fields preferred.Minimum 2-4 years of experience with OSHA/EPA regulations.ASP or CHMM certification preferred.Strong soft skills and communication abilities.Proficient in math and chemistry.Self-motivated and computer literate.Prior experience in industrial hygiene and environmental waste management desirable.
