Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a Data Center Environment
  • Have a strong background in wiring infrastructure installation and removal
  • Have experience installing troubleshooting terminating labeling and testing copper Cat-5 6 and fiber optic wiring
  • Experience troubleshooting server switch routers and other hardware in a sometimes fast paced environment
  • Experience working on Windows OS with assisted strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with Office products Word Excel PPT Visio and other remote utility tools Windows programs.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal and vendor support teams and Proficiency in email communication .

Position Qualifications:

  • Able to handle high Priority ticket situations to complete task during outages
  • Willingness to respond and work during afterhours on On Call support on a rotational basis.
  • Able to work on rotational shift between 7am to 7pm shifts
  • Available for On Call 2 weeks rotating schedule 24/7 Data center support.
  • Able to stand for long periods at a time in the Data Center
  • Follow safety guidelines in the Data Center and DC Workroom. Wear steel toe or composite toe footwear.
  • Ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices.
  • High School Diploma or degree in computer science information technology or similar.
  • Have a valid Driver License
  • Must have reliable self-transportation at any point in time.
  • Can lift up to 50-75 pounds.

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
