Responsibilities

Meritage Homes is looking for a Marketing Specialist for our Salt Lake City Division. Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, this person will focus on the implementation of division marketing support and strategic partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary marketing resource for the Regional Marketing Director and for the Division
  • In conjunction with Regional Marketing Director, strategically plan the annual, quarterly and monthly marketing efforts to include incentive promotions, community marketing and agent outreach
  • Responsible for the development and execution of all marketing collateral and campaign materials (print and digital); ensure adherence to brand standards
  • Prepare and present marketing updates and information to sales team and Divisional leaders
  • Perform ongoing website audits and ensure content is accurate and up-to-date; provide strategic suggestions for marketing positioning and content
  • Assist with digital marketing initiatives (i.e., create and distribute eblasts and flyers, submit digital media request forms, etc.)
  • Generate local press releases
  • Relationship building with local chambers, bases, etc.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of all consumer and agent events
  • Participate in planning and execution of sales team meetings and events as well as Divisional office events with local team
  • Monitor local budget for project marketing, model furniture and monthly advertising
  • Work with community teams to develop specific marketing tactics to maximize Realtor participation and conversion
  • Drive the new community opening process (planning, execution, follow-up)
  • Take a leadership role in certain new community marketing activities including site visits, activity planning, coordinating vendors for installations, model photography
  • Support divisional, regional and national marketing initiatives including special projects as requested
  • Participate in key meetings as directed by the Regional Marketing Director; assume responsibility for assigned action items and proactively provide progress updates through completion


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in homebuilding or real estate, agency experience is a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with strong attention to detail; ability to write creative and strategic copy with focus on community demographics, edit and proofread materials for grammar and content.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), eblast systems, photo editing, website management; Adobe Creative Suite applications a plus
  • Highly organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines, often with frequent interruptions and changing circumstances, in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
  • Strong team player with the ability to work well within cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility to attend some evening and weekend events as needed
