This position serves as the Clinical Director for the Pine Ridge Service Unit located in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent provides clinical medical services to eligible patients and supervises clinical staff. The incumbent works on a regularly assigned rotation or call-back basis to provide continuity of medical services during evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Duties
- Plans work to be accomplished by department supervisors and staff and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Organizes and maintains medical services and committee activities for accreditation or certification.
- Directs the development of standard operating procedures and policies, including monitoring compliance and periodic review.
- Serves as chief medical adviser to the Chief Executive Officer in all matters pertaining to patient care.
- Provides medical care, care coordination, and public health services to patients in homes, schools, clinics and other community locations.
