Located within five hours (300 miles) of 25 percent of the U.S. population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America, three-times voted âBest NASCAR Trackâ by readers of USA Today. The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year.

This is an event position: (Hours vary during events).

Duration of Position: April - November

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliability and punctuality. 
  • Ability to independently resolve problems as they arise
  • Ability to de-escalate and react appropriately to stressful circumstances
  • Ability to work alone and as a team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide event specific information to guests
  • Control access into hospitality areas, garages, paddocks and other areas requiring specific credentials
  • Assist with ingress/egress traffic control and parking management
  • Stay attentive and report any suspicious activity observed
  • Utilize provided communication equipment (two-way radios)
  • Respond to incidents and document as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirement:

  • Valid driverâs license required
  • Ability to obtain a NYS Security Guard license required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Emergency Services experience preferred
