Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join our Renewables team in our Madison, WI office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of civil engineering design on renewable projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented design engineer to join our highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and perform all aspects of civil design and technical solutions for utility-scale renewable projects.
- Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team.
- Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Conduct team meetings and coordinate with other professional disciplines to execute successful project delivery.
- Prepare and provide support with project proposals.
- Prepare budget on assigned projects and review invoicing under the direction of a Project Manager.
- Identify additional scope and revenue opportunities that relate to the project and participates in business development activities.
- Provide on-going communication with the client related to the project.
- Establish goals for project deliverables and maintain QA/QC goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Must have 5-8 years of experience in discipline within the Engineering industry.
- Must be detail oriented and efficient in problem solving.
- EIT certification required, PE preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with department personnel and office staff; must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Extensive experience in county and state permitting preferred.
- Good mentoring skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Possess the ability to change focus quickly during a typical day.
- Positive and solution orientated approach to problems.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in renewable energy or display passion to learn about the renewable energy industry.
- Experience managing Land Development or Public Infrastructure projects
