Job ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates advanced knowledge of equipment and shares information with peers.Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.Demonstrates an ability to provide a departmental charge role by triaging workflow, assigning rooms and staffing for daily cases.Possesses an advanced knowledge of sterile techniques and assists/supports Interventional Radiologists during procedures.Notifies the manager of potential safety hazards and follows through on all corrective decisions.
Immediately recognizes adverse clinical situations and helps other personnel to do so.
RequirementsCertification - Basic Life Support Instructor; American Board of Radiology - Diagnostic Medical Physics BLS, ARRT, Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular (CV).BLS; ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) required .BLS; ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) required.
Must have completed the Inova ACHIEVE program for IR Tech 4.BLS; ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) required.
Must have completed the Inova ADVANCE program for IR Tech 4.Licensure - Tradesman Commonwealth of Virginia Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist is required only if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System hospital.Experience -Five years of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.Education - Vocational / Technical Radiologic Technology Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred About Us
