The Division provides an active outpatient office practice, inpatient primary and consultative hospital service, and post-acute and long-term skilled nursing facility based care. NYU Langone HospitalâLong Island (formerly known as Winthrop University Hospital) is the campus for the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine including medical student education and ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs across multiple disciplines including a longstanding and highly sought four physician Geriatric Medicine fellowship program.
Geriatric Medicine faculty members hold academic appointments at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine and are active in teaching and training medical students, house staff and fellows. The Division staff includes a Social Worker and Clinical Pharmacist. Division activities are recognized nationally and NYU Langone Health System Geriatrics was ranked second in the country by US World & News in 2023.
NYU Langone HospitalâLong Island, is a 591-bed medical center offering sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty of medicine and surgery.
