Responsibilities of the Medical Director, Principal Investigator, Lead Physician
Provide overall medical direction and medical review of protocols in conformance with the investigational plan and good clinical practice
Provide medical and scientific feasibility of all new sponsor inquiries
Ensure that the safety and well-being of all participants in the study at the trial site are protected
Ensure data collected at the study site is credible and accurate
Assist and provide guidance to clinical operations research staff and sponsor client managers as required
Requirements of Medical Director, Principal Investigator, Lead Physician
~1 year of current experience working in clinical research is strongly preferred.
~5 years of experience working within a primary care, internal medicine, or hospital clinical environment is preferred.
~ Industry research experience and industry-sponsored clinical trials are preferred
~ Understanding of regulatory requirements, principles of GCP, FDA regulations, and biomedical research ethics.
