The Nurse Educator, in consultation and collaboration with nursing leadership and the Health Care Team, facilitates training, education and development by assessing, planning, developing, implementation, coordination and evaluation of projects and programs for staff, faculty, patient populations and the community. This is accomplished to ensure role competence, compliance with regulatory standards, and to meet organizational goals. 
Develops and coordinates curriculum/plan utilizing principles of age-appropriate learning, and effective use of resouces (human, material and technological) to meet assessed learning needs(i.e. required validation, new employee orientation, community and professional education).
Collaborates/partners with affiliated faculty to provide optimal learning experiences that support the organization's standards of care, and framework for professional practice.
Collaborates with affiliates to facilitate training, development and education in order to ensure consistency, continuity and cost-effectiveness across the continuum.
This is done by observing learners, testing, simulations, documentation and patient outcomes, and revising based on results.
Pediatrics, Adolescents, Geriatrics.).
Current Connecticut Nursing license.
Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree required (one degree must be in Nursing).
Minimum 3 years of appropriate recent experience in an acute care setting.
