Responsibilities:

  • Guiding strategic endeavors aimed at broadening and enriching environmental and public access planning services, actively engaging in and occasionally spearheading organization-wide strategic endeavors.
  • Offering guidance to members of the environmental and public access planning team through mentorship, overseeing work outputs encompassing CEQA and NEPA documentation.
  • Assuming responsibility and spearheading the environmental planning team's fiscal performance and goal attainment.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with significant coursework in environmental, urban, infrastructure, or public access planning, geography, public policy, or a related interdisciplinary field.
  • At least ten years of experience in the preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents.
  • Five years of leadership experience directing teams, with a focus on client acquisition and retention.
  • Thorough understanding of project management, financial management, business development, staff development, and industry best practices within environmental consulting.
  • Proven track record as an adept team leader and communicator, actively resolving team challenges and providing mentorship to promote best practices and enhance staff engagement across teams.
  • Demonstrated dedication to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Successful history of securing and managing diverse projects encompassing environmental planning and assessment, land use and community planning, infrastructure planning, and/or resilience/sustainability initiatives. This experience includes building a robust professional network of clients and collaborating with partners to address complex interdisciplinary challenges on high-profile projects spanning multiple regions and practices across California.
