The Physician Assistant will function as a surgical first assist for all surgical sub-specialties and provide weekday inpatient coverage of all non-ICU surgical patients on the surgical unit.
Evaluate, diagnose and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and nursing staff.
Ensure continuity of care through sign-out from overnight PA coverage. Respond to urgent/emergent clinical issues. Interact with and clinically supervise allied health personnel as assigned for patient management.
Maine Physician Assistant and DEA Licenses (or immediate eligibility) required.
