Senior Product Manager - Supplier Advertising API and Agencies
Employees are expected to be in our Boston office Tuesdays-Thursday, and work remotely Mondays and Fridays.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the 0 to 1 introduction and growth of advertising agencies into what could be the largest channel for suppliers to participate in our Supplier Advertising programs. This work will enable suppliers to reach millions of Wayfair customers and drive 3x growth in our supplier advertising business over the next few years.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for discovering and defining the product vision and strategy for our external API offerings for advertising, integration capabilities, and integration enablement. You will build industry-leading integration capabilities that provide scalable, consistent, and quality pathways for our suppliers (or advertising agencies on their behalf) to manage their advertising campaigns as effectively as possible. Your tools will enable the continued growth and success of our high-margin Supplier Advertising business and ensure better operations for our suppliers. Hundreds of developers will use your team’s APIs and tools to integrate real-time campaign management and reporting platforms with Wayfair. Own product vision and drive commercial strategy for what could be our largest demand channel within the next few years. Envision and guide the creation of extensible systems that enable many thousands of suppliers to participate in Wayfair’s Supplier Advertising programs.
Guide problem scoping and discovery, drive requirements synthesis, and facilitate prioritization and planning to ensure meaningful outcomes for your system users and our suppliers.
Act as a leader on the team, nurturing junior product managers by developing their mastery and growing their autonomy while rolling up your sleeves to assist them directly where necessary.
Partner with the engineering team to drive timely and smooth execution by performing sprint rituals like grooming, planning and retrospective.
Drive go to market for your products in partnership with internal or external stakeholders.
Influence the evolution of Wayfair's strategy for advertising offerings.
5-7 years experience building software products or infrastructure at scale with measurable impact
~ Ideal candidates have built / worked on APIs for advertising platforms or have been customers of advertising APIs
~ Track record of effective partnership with engineering and commercial leadership to build high-impact, technical products with an ability to understand and push on system architecture to improve the product.
~ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to dive deep into data and produce actionable insights.
~ A high degree of technical fluency, with familiarity building technical platforms operating at scale in large engineering organizations (e.g. API technologies, SDK offerings in specific languages, etc.)
~ Ability to work with and influence senior leaders (Director+) across various functional areas.
