Northwell Health’s Department of Cardiology is seeking an experienced, dynamic Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to become the Director of the Cath Lab and join the highly skilled cardiac team at South Shore University Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience and exceptional clinical skills in coronary PCI with expertise in CHIP and MCS. We collaborate closely as a referral center for advanced coronary work from Peconic Bay Medical Center, Mather Hospital, and Huntington Hospital.
Northwell Health’s Department of Cardiology has seen tremendous growth over the past several years within Long Island, New York City and Westchester, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. South Shore University Hospital has become a destination for residents in Suffolk County who need world-class care. In fact, more people choose South Shore University Hospital for complex heart and lung care than any other hospital on the east end of Long Island. As the tertiary hospital of Northwell’s Eastern Region, we take care of complex patients with high volume and superb quality. Rated by The Department of Health among the state’s best outcomes for cardiac surgery and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and citing several of its physicians for superior outcomes from 2017-2019. The hospital has also received the New York State Department of Health's (DOH) prestigious double asterisk for a low risk adjusted Valve or Valve/CABG Surgery mortality rate.
South Shore University Hospital is a tertiary care cardiac program performing all aspects of cardiac and cardiac surgical care. Interventional program at Southshore University Hospital offers all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including high risk PCI, CTO interventions, MCS, Peripheral vascular interventions and Pulmonary embolism interventions. Southshore offers a robust Structural program that includes high volume PFO/ASD, TAVRs, Percutaneous Mitral and Tricuspid valve interventions. South Shore University Hospital has been named among the Top 10% in the Nation for Cardiology Services for 3 Years in a Row (2022-2024), America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention, and America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care and among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationally for Overall Cardiac Services by Health Grades.
