The People Operations Partner leads the charge in cultivating a thriving workplace culture at SmartThings, reporting to and collaborating closely with the Head of People to guide team members through every stage of the employee lifecycle. Additionally, you'll drive SmartThings' growth by optimizing internal systems and policies and advocating for evolving workforce needs.
Ensure the integrity and efficacy of our existing HR tools, including our HRIS, benefits, and LOA administration tools, and our L&D, performance, and engagement platforms.
Continually optimize People tooling and programs to support SmartThings’ evolving needs, through projects such as migrating our HRIS, building out support for remote team members, or implementing net new tools and platforms.
build policies and documentation to enable self-directed learning and development, and equip managers to lead effective teams.
Collaborate with external counsel to lead immigration support for our team, including sponsorship for H-1B visas and green card applications.
Support the Head of People, Finance, and Legal teams on internal compliance programs and initiatives.
Assist the Head of People by flexing into HRBP responsibilities as needed, such as by conducting listening tours, coaching managers, or leading performance calibration discussions.
Ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are woven into the fabric of SmartThings’ people policies, programs, and processes.

~Proven success in building and optimizing systems and processes
