Inspire health. Under the direction of the lab manager and medical director, the Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer performs most cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams. Not ready to apply or want to learn more about Prisma Health? Performs most modalities of echocardiography (i.e. Reviews images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete, thorough and prepared for review by reading physicians. Participates in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend and holiday schedules. Operates all lab testing equipment and software packages including but not limited to ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR and Structured Reporting and PACS. Proficient in the use of telephone, printers, and fax machines. Reports any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel and removes equipment from service. Cleans the equipment and work areas daily and stocks rooms with supplies and linen. Maintains up to date maintenance logs to include the monthly cleaning log and the equipment down time log. Attends staff and departmental meetings as well as educational conferences. Keeps abreast of changes in the field and participates in collecting data, images and articles as necessary. Associate's Degree - Graduate of a formal sonography program
~1 year - cardiac and vascular sonography experience performing non-invasive lab studies. In Lieu Of the Educational requirements above, completion of a Director approved sonography program will be considered.
Team members in this job as of 11/08/2020 are grandfathered from the minimum requirements listed above pending state and regulatory requirements.

Registered in echocardiography (ARDMS-AE and/or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS)
Medical terminology preferred
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
Proficient computer skills (database)
