North Suffolk is looking for a Chief Advancement Officer to join our team The Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for planning, managing, and executing a comprehensive, diversified and strategic advancement and communications effort. This position is responsible for all activities related to board, constituent and stakeholder communications. Reports to the Chief Executive Officer as a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Advancement Officer is also responsible for communications and community relations activities to sustain and expand North Suffolk’s programs and services.

This position is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm; some evening and weekend hours required.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and oversee the Advancement and Grants, monitoring performance, performing annual reviews and building team cohesion
  • Develop and implement marketing campaign to increase knowledge and awareness of NSCS, its mission, services and expand the face of the organization
  • Responsible for the coordination of the annual fund development plan to achieve budget revenue objectives focusing on major gift solicitation and planned gifts
  • Manage overall fundraising efforts by developing measurable goals and objectives to procure major gifts and donations to support NSCS.
  • Oversee AVP Advancement with Gala Committee to ensure success of event

What' you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Leading candidates will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated high-level leadership success developing and implementing comprehensive development or external relations programs of comparable size.
  • Team management experience is required, and the successful candidate will have a clearly articulated management philosophy which supports high performance and employee retention.
  • Exceptional financial, organizational, project management and administrative skills are essential and expected.
